Services

We can remove your straight stair lift from your old home and reinstall it on a compatible staircase in your new home.

We can reinstall a stair lift that was previously removed, as long as the lift and staircase are compatible.
Why Us
In many cases, an existing stair lift can be removed and reinstalled in a new home if the new staircase is compatible. We are locally owned and bring more than 20 years of experience to stair lift installation and reinstallation.

Questions
Often, yes, if it is a straight lift and the new staircase suits it. A straight rail can usually be cut down for a shorter flight. A longer flight needs extra rail sections, if parts are still available for that model. If the lift cannot come with you, stair lift removal takes it out of the old home.
The stair length, the angle, the width, the space at the top and bottom landings, and the side of the stairs the rail goes on all matter. The new staircase also needs sturdy steps to support the rail and an electrical outlet nearby for charging. Heavier riders may need the heavy-duty model instead.
Moving a lift can involve removal, transport, replacement batteries, rail changes, and the reinstallation itself. A longer staircase in the new home usually needs extra rail, which adds to the cost. Because a move can need new parts, it is worth comparing that cost with the price of a new stair lift.
Check your manufacturer's warranty terms first. Stair lift warranties are commonly limited to the original buyer, and many depend on the lift being installed and maintained by the manufacturer's own approved installers, so coverage cannot be assumed to carry over after a move.
The condition of the lift and how well it suits the new staircase both play a part. A lift that has sat unplugged for a while may need its batteries recharged or replaced before it is used again.
